Germany's steel sales of this year may slumped 40% from a year ago, sources reported.

 In comparison with 2007 and 2008, the country's steel sales in 2010 may respectively slide by 20% and 30%.

Its crude steel output in July stood at 2.69 mln tonnes, down 28.2% year-on-year, up 7.2% month-on-month.
