BEIJING, Nov. 5 -- Recently, carbon-free copper smelting technology, a technology with full independent intellectual property rights, has passed expert examination organized by China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association (CNIA) in Dongying, Shandong province. It is the first time zero-carbon emissions in the copper melting process has been realized and also opens a new gate for low-carbon development of China's nonferrous metals industry.
Experts believe that carbon-free copper smelting technology is better than previous technologies on the main technical parameters as well as economic and technical indicators having the advantages such as convenience, low-cost, environmental protection and flexible scales, proving that it is a very suitable technical upgrade for non-ferrous metal smelting enterprises.
