Riversdale reported progress at Mozambique coal project
Inferred Coal Resource on the Benga tenement of 1.94 billion tonnes announced during April 2008. Of this, 1.07 billion tonnes is likely to be amenable to open cut mining.

The hard coking coal quality, combined with low strip ratios, will make the Benga deposit a world class project.

Combined tenement area exceeds 250,000 hectares and positions the Company as the largest tenement holder in the Tete-Moatize area.

Zululand Anthracite Colliery (ZAC)

Exploration success resulted in a 36% increase in the Coal Reserves to 15.47 million Run Of Mine tonnes.

ROM production for the June quarter was 283,847 tonnes, 66,194 tonnes more than the March quarter and 35,088 tonnes more than the same quarter last year.

Saleable production for the June quarter was 196,319 tonnes, higher than the March 2008 quarter and the same quarter last year.

Product sales for the June quarter were 192,106 tonnes, of which export sales contributed 36.5%.

Riversdale Anthracite Colliery (RAC)

The RAC mining application is being considered by the Department of Minerals and Energy.
