Canada's Capstone Mining Corp said it saw a 44 percent increase in estimates for contained copper at four undeveloped deposits at its Minto mine in Yukon.

The copper miner, which is expanding and exploring new deposits at Minto mine, said as per its recent estimate, the mine has about 252 million pounds of copper outside of its main deposit.

The company said its exploration program showed about 35 percent rise in contained gold and about 42 percent increase in contained silver at the new deposits.

The new deposits, discovered by the company late last year, are located on the eastern side of the main deposit.

Capstone said it continues drilling at the site and aims to give updated resource estimate later this year.

Shares of Vancouver-based Capstone closed at C$2.52 Monday on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
