Shanta Gold Wins Permit for Tanzanian Project

Shanta Gold has been awarded an environmental permit to develop the Chuniya gold project in Tanzania.

 

The final approval of the mining licence application will be processed after the certificate is provided by the Ministry of Energy and Minerals, Shanta said.

 

Construction of the mine is scheduled to start in the fourth quarter of 2010.

 

The project is situated near the Saza and Mbagala villages in the Mbeya Region of southern Tanzania.
